NBA's QuickBooks Certification assures employers you have QuickBooks knowledge and skill. You obtain the Certification by passing the Uniform QuickBooks Certification Examination.

The Uniform QuickBooks Certification Examination (Exam) is the examination administered to bookkeepers and QuickBooks users who want to obtain QuickBooks Certification.

The Exam is developed, maintained, and administered by NBA. The Exam is used and recognized throughout the United States and its properties.

Bookkeepers and QuickBooks users who pass the Exam may communicate to employers that they possess NBA QuickBooks Certification and are able to distinguish themselves and build credibility by having authorized use of the NBA QuickBooks Certification certificate and logo.

QuickBooks Certification Steps
To obtain QuickBooks Certification, we recommend the following steps:

1. Join NBA – Although membership is not required, NBA members receive a 20% discount on the Exam and Exam Preparation Course.
2. Complete the Exam Preparation Course – The Course educates you on QuickBooks and enables you to pass the Exam. The Course is not required, but highly recommended.
3. Take and Pass the Exam

Uniform QuickBooks Certification Examination
The Exam is an online, examination used to test the candidate's QuickBooks competency. The Exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions and simulations. You may request access to the Exam via email or telephone during normal NBA business hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm MT and you will receive an email with a link to the Exam. You have 24 hours to take and submit the Exam for grading and the Exam is "open-book". To pass the Exam, you must receive a minimum of 80% on the Exam in order to pass. Exam results are made available to you within 24 hours. If necessary, you must wait one full week to retake the Exam.

Note: Beginning January 1, 2013 the Exam will be proctored at authorized testing centers throughout the United States. If you purchase the Exam after December 31, 2012, you will be required to take the Exam at an authorized testing center.
