Certified Payroll Specialists
Certified Payroll Specialists or CPSs are distinguished from other payroll professionals providing public payroll services by stringent licensing requirements. They have extensive payroll knowledge, skills, and experience. In order to qualify for the CPS license, CPSs must possess payroll education, pass a national payroll certification exam, meet experience requirements, and obtain a minimum of 16 hours of Continuing Professional Education annually.
